Once a year Pay-It-Forward (PIF) Ambassadors come together to network, learn, and continue to grow as real estate professionals. PIF is a young company and internet-based network of real estate agents and thanks in part to COVID, some of our agents had never met their fellow ambassadors in person.
To the uninitiated, the Pay-It-Forward family is a close-knit, high-energy group, that appears to consist of people who despite maybe having met once or twice, appear to have known each other for a lifetime. The reality is that none of our ambassadors leave a PIF conference without being moved by the power of our community, the depth of our impact, and conviction to the military community at large.
“I was not prepared for what came next”
The Veterans Community Project (VCP) is a company that is revolutionizing the assistance of veterans after their separation from the military and arguably leading the most effective charge against veterans homelessness in the United States at present. Bryan Meyer, the CEO and Co-founder of VCP didn’t know what to expect when he arrived for his first in person conference of PIF real estate agents. What Bryan saw was just a touch of PIF magic.
“When we arrived at the PIF conference, the high energy of the room was evident. The PIF Ambassadors were engaged, and I could immediately see how much the mission of ending Veteran homelessness and helping Veterans who have slipped through the cracks resonated with the Veterans and Military Spouses in the room.
When I learned that the Ambassadors wanted to kick off a campaign to sponsor one of VCP’s tiny homes, it was humbling. In less than 10 minutes after sharing the VCP story, the room had collectively raised over $20,000. Vanessa and I were in awe. Later than night at the awards dinner, we enjoyed being included in the celebration of everyone’s accomplishments, but I was not prepared for what came next. When Jacqui (Jacqui Luberto Pictured) jumped on stage and started talking about how you all were going to raise even more money and reach the $50,000 goal that night, I was blown away!

“I have not experienced anything quite like the energy in the room the night of the PIF awards banquet”
Since the other co-founders and I founded Veterans Community Project, we have been inspired by the outpouring of support from individuals, companies, and foundations to make this vision come alive. But I can honestly say, in these last 5 years since we started, I have not experienced anything quite like the energy in the room the night of the PIF awards banquet when the Ambassadors raised over $50,000 for VCP. Thank you!
We are so grateful for our partnership with Pay-It-Forward and know that wherever we go in the U.S. as we expand our mission, the PIF family will have our back.”
