Fort Belvoir Community Hospital (FBCH) is a state-of-the-art, 120-bed military community hospital spanning 1.3 million square feet. It serves a regional population of approximately 250,000 personnel, with roughly 100,000 enrollees receiving inpatient and specialty care. Additionally, FBCH operates satellite family health centers in Fairfax and Dumfries, providing convenient off-post access for families.

Services at the Welcome Center include finance, personnel, housing assistance, and Child, Youth and School Services coordination. Newcomers’ Briefings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at Woodlawn Chapel at 9 a.m. (moves to the third Tuesday if the second falls on a holiday). Additionally, quarterly spouse-specific Newcomers Orientations occur in December, March, June, and September.
